Ford is equipping the Interceptor sedans and SUVs it supplies for police use in the United States with optional bulletproof front doors that can protect against armour-piercing .30 caliber rounds. Ford has previously made available doors that can stop .45-calibre handgun and non-armour piercing .30-calibre rounds. But the new combination of ceramic plate and a special tight weave of kevlar fabric blunts the deadly penetrable ammunition. This video shows how.
