The Jaguar F-Pace SVR has been turned into “Britain’s fastest and most powerful SUV” by long-time British performance house and racing marque Lister.
It’s named the Stealth, limited to 100 units worldwide, and priced from £109,950 (NZ$220,000). Said Lister in a statement: “The Stealth adds proof to its claim of being Britain’s fastest SUV after recently beating rival super SUVs – Lamborghini Urus, Aston Martin DBX, and Bentley Bentayga – in a drag race at the renowned testing ground, Vmax200”. The site is a former RAF base with a runway 2.1km long.
Lister has reworked the SVR’s 5.0-litre V8 engine to deliver 500kW/720Nm, a 0-100km/h sprint time of 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 315km/h. The standard SVR generates 407kW/680Nm, a 4.1 second sprint time and 283km/h top speed.
The Stealth engine gets a custom-built intercooler, high-performance air filtration system, and upgraded dual supercharger pulleys. The engine also gets a remap, which the company prefers to call “Lister Engine Management System”.
To make sure the Stealth sounds even better, Lister has installed a customised stainless-steel exhaust system with carbon-fibre tips. The car also features upgraded brakes, wider wheel arches and side skirts, special front and rear bumpers, and a large rear diffuser.
To further differentiate it from the standard F-Pace, Stealth rides on 23?inch Vossen forged wheels, said to be the only add-ons not made in the UK.
Inside the Napa leather-lined cabin, there are 36 individual colour choices and 90 different stitching options that cover the dashboard, sports seats, steering wheel, roof lining and seatbelts.
American badge Dodge reckons its Durango Hellcat is the world’s quickest SUV, sprinting to 100km/h in a claimed 3.5 seconds. Stealth’s main British rival, the Bentley Bentayga, takes 3.9 seconds to hit the 100km/h mark and has a top speed of 305km/h.
